Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, install, and support application systems and programs.
- Build complex SQL logic and procedures using Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Perform database performance tuning, data analysis, and data modeling.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues and conduct testing and debugging.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology teams to recommend and implement programming solutions.
- Resolve application issues, assess risks, and escalate control issues appropriately.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts.
- Operate with limited supervision and exercise independent judgment.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and building complex logic through SQL and procedures.
- Proficiency in data analysis and data modeling.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.
