Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and deploy learned interaction policies for complex navigation and yielding scenarios.
- Collaborate across prediction and planning teams to solve agent interaction problems with large-scale models.
- Integrate learned models into closed-loop simulation environments and benchmark them against safety metrics.
- Drive transitions from rule-based heuristics to scalable, data-driven policies and production releases.
- Make pragmatic engineering decisions focused on high-impact autonomous driving outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience developing high-performance, efficient C++ code.
- Hands-on experience building machine learning models, including learned driving policies using reinforcement learning or imitation learning.
- Experience with PyTorch or JAX, closed-loop simulation evaluation, and shipping models to production.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or PhD, motion planning or autonomous systems experience, large-scale ML systems experience, and technical leadership guiding engineers or small project teams.
