Responsibilities
- Build data platforms that enable clients and business partners to make efficient decisions.
- Design robust solutions using Databricks and modern data engines.
- Develop and support data pipelines and Unity Catalog services.
- Solve complex business problems at large scale using big data technologies.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and collaborate across domains.
- Interact with engineers, product and project managers, and partners worldwide.
- Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in cloud-based environments.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in data engineering.
- 3 years of experience with Databricks, including data pipelines and Unity Catalog.
- 3 years of experience with big data.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Background in data warehousing, ETL, distributed data processing, software engineering components, and data modeling.
- Experience with at least one public cloud provider: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong experience designing relational databases and non-relational storage.
- Strong experience with Data Marts, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Mesh concepts.
- Analytical problem-solving skills applicable to big data environments.
- Very good written and verbal English.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD principles.
- Preferred: knowledge of Parquet, Iceberg, and Avro data formats.
- Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to act as a go-to person for data-related topics.
