Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, implementing, and testing algorithms for computer vision, object tracking, target detection, guidance, navigation and control, state estimation, autonomous behaviors, path planning, and multi-vehicle coordination.
- Support development and debugging of autonomy software on simulation platforms and real hardware.
- Collaborate on testing, data collection, experimental design, code reviews, and multidisciplinary integration efforts.
- Document and present technical findings in internal reports or presentations.
- Work with robotic systems, test setups, and hardware integration in office and R&D lab environments.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or project experience in robotics, autonomy, or computer vision.
- Proficiency in C/C++, with modern C++ standards such as C++11 or later preferred.
- Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis or prototyping.
- Interest in UAS, robotics, or autonomous systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with willingness to learn and collaborate.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with ROS, vision-based perception, trajectory planning, GNC or control systems, embedded systems, SWaP devices, simulation tools, real-time systems, experimental robotics, robotics competitions, clubs, or research projects.
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for approval of an export license; some positions may require current U.S. citizenship.
