Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver RDS features such as database operation tickets, backup and restore, scaling, and high availability.
- Design and implement RDS platform components for instance management, resource lifecycle management, monitoring and alerting, and backup and restore.
- Build high-performance, reliable, and secure database capabilities including automated deployment, elastic scaling, fault self-healing, disaster recovery, and data consistency guarantees.
- Improve platform scalability to support millions of database instances and high-concurrency access.
- Conduct performance and scalability tests and research improvements.
- Implement unit, functional, and system testing and participate in release and deployment processes.
- Solve large-scale and complex cloud infrastructure problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a computer-related field.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Golang or Python.
- Demonstrated coding practices including clean code, refactoring, and unit testing.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such as Django, Flask, Gin, and Kitex.
- Familiarity with database management and internal database implementation mechanisms.
- Knowledge of HTTP, RESTful API design, JSON or Protobuf serialization, and middleware development is preferred.
- Experience with microservice architecture, service discovery, load balancing, RPC frameworks, and distributed configuration centers is preferred.
- Experience with database kernels, database middleware, or database management platforms is preferred.
- Strong technology motivation, communication, teamwork, analysis, and problem-solving skills are preferred.
