Base Salary

$167k - $184k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to backend and frontend systems across Abridge.
  • Build and iterate on agentic LLM systems, including retrieval pipelines, structured tool use, and chained LLM workflows.
  • Prototype with new models, prompting techniques, and orchestration tools such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks and automated pipelines with human-in-the-loop review for accuracy, robustness, and clinical reliability.
  • Contribute to monitoring and observability systems for production LLM workflows.
  • Collaborate with machine learning, infrastructure, product, clinical, research, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience through projects, bootcamps, or open source work.
  • Hands-on generative AI experience through coursework, personal projects, internships, hackathons, or similar work.
  • Experience integrating an LLM API, building a RAG pipeline, experimenting with agents, or shipping an AI-powered project.
  • Familiarity with prompt chaining, tool use, and retrieval concepts.
  • Curiosity about model evaluation, failure modes, and LLM system reliability.
  • Collaborative, low-ego working style and willingness to contribute across areas.
