Base Salary
$130k - $153k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable backend services for content experimentation and event tracking.
- Write unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute service design proposals.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, mobile, business intelligence, marketing, and other stakeholders.
- Extend existing onX services and avoid unnecessary reinvention.
- Use AI workflows to improve development velocity without reducing quality.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for backend services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, primarily in API development.
- Ability to demonstrate alignment with onX’s company values.
- Permanent US work authorization is required as a condition of employment.
- Ability to travel quarterly for multiple days to a corporate office or other onX strategic location.
- Preferred experience includes Go or similar backend languages, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, a major cloud platform—especially Google Cloud Platform—and A/B testing or experimentation platforms such as Eppo.
