Responsibilities
- Build and enhance high-data-volume web applications with Next.js and TypeScript from discovery and design through testing and production delivery.
- Partner with Product Owners, UX Designers and Solution Architects to understand business needs and deliver scalable, user-focused solutions.
- Write and optimize SQL for transactional and analytical workloads and maintain PostgreSQL and BigQuery integrations using Prisma, Drizzle or comparable technologies.
- Own application quality and reliability through code reviews, unit and integration testing, debugging, front-end performance optimization, incident troubleshooting and application maintenance.
- Identify and remediate application and dependency vulnerabilities, including Next.js and Docker vulnerabilities, and support framework and version upgrades.
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead stakeholder demos.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of professional full stack development experience, including at least five years working with high-data-volume applications.
- Production hands-on experience with Next.js and intermediate-level TypeScript, including application maintenance and Next.js version upgrades.
- Strong understanding of front-end performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL with PostgreSQL or BigQuery.
- Experience with Prisma, Drizzle or another ORM/database technology.
- Ability to identify and remediate Next.js and Docker vulnerabilities, troubleshoot production issues and maintain applications.
- Ability to collaborate in an Agile/Scrum product development environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Nice-to-have experience with Python, Kubernetes deployments, GitLab CI/CD, GCP and Carbon Design System.
