Responsibilities

  • Understand business data usage and stakeholder requirements to support work processes and strategic objectives.
  • Create business value through data accessibility using data engineering, software engineering, and data science techniques.
  • Acquire, cleanse, prepare, validate, normalize, transform, and store data from multiple sources.
  • Develop data products aligned with defined architecture patterns and support analytics processing.
  • Enable data scientists by making data available for advanced analytics models and contribute to models.
  • Work with ML Engineers to scale and deploy solutions, including models, documentation, training, and integration.
  • Contribute to inner-source development of foundational tools and deployment of technical services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • More than five years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
  • Knowledge or experience with data acquisition, preparation, validation, movement, transformation, analytics solution architecture, big data computing, cloud computing, core data architecture, information security technologies, and software engineering.
  • Experience or knowledge with technologies including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, Java, Ansible, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Git, ADO, Azure Data Lake, Azure Analysis Services, Logic Apps, and Microsoft Data Flows.
  • Knowledge of Kimball Data Warehousing Methodology and strong analytical, consulting, and critical-thinking capabilities.
