Responsibilities
- Define and evolve Common Services firmware architecture and technical strategy across SSD products and storage platforms.
- Lead embedded firmware solution design, establish engineering standards, and drive decisions improving performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Partner with hardware, silicon, software, and product teams to solve system-level storage challenges.
- Communicate architecture plans, technical risks, and technology recommendations to engineering and business partners.
- Mentor senior engineers and lead adoption of AI-assisted development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of embedded firmware development experience with architectural ownership and technical leadership in the storage or semiconductor industry.
- 3+ years of SSD industry experience with expertise in Common Services firmware, ARC processors, compilers, and build environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in C and/or Rust and deep knowledge of PCIe/NVMe storage architectures.
- Experience working across hardware, silicon, system software, and product teams to deliver complex technical solutions.
- Preferred qualifications include firmware architecture and long-term technical strategy experience, performance analysis and optimization expertise, RISC-V experience, Python-based automation, embedded systems knowledge, technical innovation through patents or publications, and experience applying AI or machine learning to engineering or product outcomes.

- This is a full-time position with a US base salary range of $175,000.00–$307,000.00 per year.
