Responsibilities

Research credential lifecycle management and distributed credential synchronization.
Design a secure architecture using a centralized credential store as the authoritative source.
Implement a proof-of-concept credential rotation and synchronization engine.
Develop declarative definitions for credentials, consumers, and rotation policies.
Automate credential rotation while maintaining service continuity and supporting rollback scenarios.
Detect and manage unauthorized or out-of-band credential modifications.
Validate the solution under realistic failure conditions and contribute practical and scientific insights.
Collaborate with DevOps, cybersecurity, and software development engineers.

Be a curious and motivated student with a strong analytical mindset and interest in complex technical problems.
Demonstrate initiative, independent working ability, teamwork, and clear communication.
Have a passion for software engineering and building scalable, reliable solutions.
Experience or interest in HashiCorp Vault or other credential management platforms is advantageous.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, security architecture, threat modeling, CI/CD automation, DevOps tooling, distributed systems, or platform engineering is advantageous.
Enrollment in a Master’s program in Computer Science is listed as an advantage.
