Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Go and Python services powering ExtraHop products.
- Participate in agile development, code reviews, and technical strategy discussions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and design guidance to junior team members.
- Serve as a technical expert and promote collaborative problem solving and engineering excellence.
- Proactively address technical debt and improve the codebase and technical stack.
- Build scalable, secure, fault-resilient customer-facing services, APIs, data pipelines, integrations, migrations, and configuration management capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional backend development experience.
- Solid knowledge of Go, Python, or an equivalent programming language.
- Experience with API development, PostgreSQL database design, or SQL query performance optimization.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-starter mentality, and demonstrated technical ownership.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in fast-paced agile environments.
- Preferred: experience with Django, FastAPI, or another Python web framework.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure cloud services, including EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, EC2, or IAM.
- Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Packer, Vault, and Terraform.
