Responsibilities
- Understand product use cases, user journeys, technical solutions, and testing requirements to develop test scopes using test-design techniques and documentation.
- Generate test cases and test scripts using AI tools.
- Extend and maintain automation frameworks and platform APIs to automate scenarios faster and more reliably.
- Develop scalable, stable, and high-performance automation frameworks.
- Expand automated coverage for backend APIs, workflows, functional scenarios, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Collaborate with product and QA teams to identify testing requirements.
- Partner with CI/CD and SRE teams to integrate automated tests into deployment pipelines and support site-availability needs.
- Perform manual functional testing when required.
- Define test strategies and test plans, debug issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Manage multi-environment structured test data.
- Drive performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, and basic security testing.
- Mentor junior SDETs and help raise engineering and code-quality standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a quality engineering role focused on test automation.
- Proficiency in Java and related technologies; Golang and NodeJS knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with Selenium, REST Assured, Appium, and TestNG.
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Jenkins and Maven.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, and caching technologies.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile processes.
- Experience defining test strategies and test plans.
- Ability to debug issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Experience with multi-environment structured test-data setup and management.
- Experience with API and UI automation testing.
- Passion for identifying test-coverage gaps and improving automated test suites.
- Hands-on mobile-app automation experience is a plus.
- Experience with non-functional testing and basic security testing is expected.
- Ability to use AI-assisted engineering and prompt-engineering techniques for test design, test-case generation, automation development, defect analysis, and test-data creation.
- Willingness to extend working hours on weekdays and weekends through product launch and the BAU phase.
