Responsibilities
- Support front-end software design and UI/UX development, including user interfaces, reports, and data models for commercial databases and cloud systems.
- Develop automation tools for code development and code-quality improvement.
- Lead software deployment and update processes from QA through production in local and cloud environments.
- Develop and support high-performance SCADA, drilling, big data mining, and RM&D user-interface applications.
- Provide networking, hardware configuration, driver/application support, and remote-access support.
- Maintain hardware configurations and provide DevOps support for continuous maintenance and improvement.
- Define and implement APIs, interfaces, and tools for data consolidation and visualization.
- Migrate and integrate legacy system data into modern commercial and cloud platforms using abstract and physical data modeling.
- Participate in requirements gathering, software design, development, testing, and agile workflows.
- Collaborate on requirements, lab testing, handover packages, technical documentation, and engineering procedures.
- Use PLM systems to support project and product data management.
- Mentor team members and communicate significant technical issues and developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
- 3–10 years of applicable experience.
- Working knowledge of Java, C++, JavaScript, HTML5, Python, mobile frameworks, databases, development frameworks, cloud services, DevOps tools, automated testing tools, and continuous integration tools.
- Experience with iOS, React Native or similar, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Spring, Hibernate, AngularJS, JBoss/WildFly, AWS, Azure, Git, and Maven.
- Ability to technically support a team and work on short- and long-term projects in a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication, presentation, architecture discussion, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Product knowledge of onshore and offshore oil and gas rigs.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and ability to recommend product and customer-satisfaction improvements.
- Advanced English proficiency and ability to learn new ideas and processes quickly.
