Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure IAM platforms.
- Deliver secrets management solutions with secure storage, rotation, access control, and auditability.
- Build user-to-service and service-to-service authentication systems using modern standards-based approaches.
- Implement standards-compliant identity providers and federation services using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Develop fine-grained and policy-based authorization systems supporting least-privilege and zero-trust principles.
- Promote IAM standards, reference architectures, and reusable secure identity patterns across development and infrastructure teams.
- Translate identity and security risks into actionable technical requirements and guidance.
- Mature IAM capabilities by identifying gaps, driving improvements, and aligning solutions with business and technology needs.
- Contribute to application security, cloud security, and platform security initiatives where identity intersects with broader controls.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on IAM or security engineering experience building and operating identity platforms in production.
- Recent experience implementing secrets management, authentication systems, and authorization systems using modern standards-based approaches.
- Strong understanding of IAM architecture, security design principles, modern IAM technologies, protocols, and low-level identity mechanics.
- Experience with security best practices, common attack vectors, and identity-related threats across applications, platforms, and cloud environments.
- Systems knowledge including Linux/Unix environments, networking fundamentals, Kubernetes/container platforms, and cloud security concepts.
- Ability to translate complex identity and security risks into clear, actionable technical guidance for diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to read and write Python.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM-related field.
- Nice-to-have experience with infrastructure-as-code and security-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Advanced coding skills in multiple major languages and experience in high-performance, research-driven, or low-latency engineering environments are preferred.
