Base Salary
$121k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of complex, scalable backend systems using Elixir.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions and participate in code reviews.
- Design and maintain Kubernetes-based CI/CD pipelines for provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Architect and manage highly available, scalable, and cost-effective GCP or AWS infrastructure.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for application health and performance.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance on software engineering and cloud operations.
- Improve application code, cloud resources, system scalability, reliability, performance, and developer productivity.
- Contribute to internal frameworks, libraries, and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders on requirements and deliverables.
- Communicate project status, technical challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support required security controls and follow GoodRx security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience focused primarily on Elixir and functional programming.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable backend systems using Elixir.
- Experience with GCP or AWS, including cloud architecture and networking concepts such as VPC and load balancing.
- Proficiency with Terraform and experience managing Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Contributions to the Elixir community or open-source projects are preferred.
