Base Salary
$73k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Author and execute manual and automated test cases to verify product requirements.
- Develop and maintain testing tools, techniques, and practices.
- Participate in planning, analysis, design, review, and cross-functional development activities.
- Verify quality checks and acceptance criteria before code merges.
- Report bugs and test results completely and on time.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program functions, output, screens, and content.
- Provide testing input during product design reviews.
- Write testing documentation and help finalize system and software documentation CDRLs.
Requirements
- US citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 4–8 years of related experience are required; equivalent experience may substitute for the degree.
- At least five years of software testing and/or software development experience is required.
- Experience with a scripting language such as Python or JavaScript is required.
- Experience writing test procedures, defect reports, and test reports is required.
- Proficiency in manual, regression, and smoke testing is required.
- Familiarity with automated test tools on software projects is required.
- Experience working in cross-functional agile teams and communicating with Product Owners and software developers is required.
- A DoD 8570-approved security certification, such as Security+ or CISSP, is required within 90 days after hire.
- Preferred qualifications include process-improvement experience, Git or SVN, VersionOne or Jira, Jenkins or other continuous integration environments, Microsoft Office, cryptographic concepts, Windows/Linux, shell scripting, Agile certification, DevOps practices, and Cameo Systems Modeler for MBSE and SysML modeling.
