Base Salary
$148k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy algorithms for efficiently managing and rebalancing SMA portfolios.
- Analyze business processes and applications and drive automation and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement scalable data management capabilities using relational databases and APIs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and engineering approaches for platform modernization and strategic objectives.
- Lead process-improvement and trade-support initiatives across equity, multi-asset, and fixed-income SMA portfolios.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software across front-end and back-end platforms.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 7–8 years of experience in financial services in an engineering or technology-focused role.
- Strong analytical, software design, algorithms, data structures, and design-pattern fundamentals.
- Strong programming skills in Python or modern object-oriented languages such as Java or Scala.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, and production-grade front-end applications.
- Experience with modern web technologies and frameworks such as React, TypeScript, or Angular.
- Experience deploying applications using Microsoft Azure or AWS and modern containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Experience driving adoption of AI-assisted software development lifecycle practices.
- Hands-on experience with relational, SQL, and/or NoSQL databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
