Base Salary

$139k - $177k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and audit enterprise SRE standards, including SLO/SLI taxonomy, alerting contracts, escalation procedures, and error-budget policies.
  • Lead active-active and multi-region architecture design, fault-injection exercises, and region evacuation exercises.
  • Establish AIOps and event-correlation capabilities to reduce MTTD and MTTR and increase automated remediation.
  • Govern infrastructure-as-code and platform modules, golden pipelines, artifact provenance, and deployment verification patterns.
  • Own capacity and efficiency strategy, including FinOps guardrails, autoscaling policies, and caching/CDN economics.
  • Support enterprise-level incident response and post-mortem analysis for critical issues.
  • Represent SRE in strategic discussions, contribute to technology roadmaps, and oversee planning and execution of high-impact projects.
  • Chair architecture reviews, drive consensus and organizational change, mentor engineers including staff and principal engineers, and improve development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience or a master’s degree with 8 years of experience.
  • Mastery of cloud platforms, Kubernetes at scale, global networking, disaster recovery tiering, and observability architectures.
  • Proven leadership across incidents, architecture councils, and cross-functional reliability initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder influence, strategic thinking, decision-making, communication, and consensus-building abilities.
  • Proficiency using AI tools, including developing intelligent prompts and/or agents.
  • Experience managing enterprise stakeholder relationships, presenting work internally and externally, and leading architecture reviews and technology planning.
