Responsibilities
- Help develop and test StarlingX for the Wind River Cloud Platform.
- Execute and automate tests while developing a thorough understanding of the product.
- Contribute to feature, process, and product improvements.
- Develop and integrate driver- and board-level system software tests.
- Collaborate with global software engineering teams.
- Use data-driven insights and AI-based recommendations to suggest product improvements.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of C, C++, and RTOS fundamentals.
- Understanding of automation tools, object-oriented programming concepts, embedded systems, and software module development.
- Experience or interest in Python or another scripting language.
- Strong analytical, debugging, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Completed embedded courses from a recognized institute such as Cranes or Vector is noted as a qualification.
- Previous internship or relevant practical experience is preferred.
- Interest in software development, software quality, structured engineering processes, and using AI to improve productivity.
- Ability and willingness to learn technical concepts and work in a rigorous development environment.
Benefits
- Compensation is CAD $4,000–$5,000 per month.
- On-site work in the Ottawa area is required three days per week.
