Base Salary
$177k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for the incentive and rewards infrastructure.
- Build real-time event-streaming architectures for high-frequency physical-world signals.
- Develop scalable compliance and preference-management services for cross-vertical message delivery.
- Architect decisioning frameworks for personalized experiences based on user context and profiles.
- Create service architectures managing product eligibility, partner configurations, and budget constraints.
- Implement attribution and measurement systems for user engagement and campaign efficacy.
- Scale and maintain multimodal identity systems connecting digital tokens with real-world identifiers.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Data teams on the long-term technical roadmap.
- Mentor team members and lead technical discussions to improve the engineering platform.
- Drive the software development lifecycle from conception through production deployment.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge of Scala, Java, or other JVM languages supporting functional programming.
- Experience building distributed systems using microservices, SOA, and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including TDD/BDD and CI/CD.
- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL and RDS.
- Ability to design and build highly available and scalable systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex technical information.
- Professional experience developing large-scale, high-quality systems for consumer-facing applications.
- Hands-on experience with container technologies and infrastructure as code is a plus.
- Experience in innovative, high-growth environments is a plus.
