Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect highly available, large-scale distributed systems for Amazon Elastic VMware Service.
  • Build integrations and capabilities that support VMware-based workloads running on AWS.
  • Own the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
  • Resolve complex integration issues and ambiguous technical problems at cloud scale.
  • Instrument systems with meaningful metrics and use data and experimentation to validate assumptions.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute technical leadership to the engineering team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 7+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 7+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team leader.
  • Preferred: 7+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
