Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture across Salesforce Industry Clouds and integrated systems.
- Define and enforce architectural principles, design patterns, governance frameworks, and technical standards.
- Design scalable data models, security architectures, and integration strategies.
- Architect event-driven and API-led integrations using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and MuleSoft.
- Provide technical guidance during solution design, proposal development, and delivery phases.
- Own architectural documentation, technical diagrams, decision records, and standards.
- Lead architectural reviews and identify and remediate technical debt.
- Support technical planning, estimation, risk assessment, and delivery leadership.
- Mentor developers, senior developers, and technical leads on architecture and Salesforce best practices.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, government regulations, and industry practices.
- Champion DevOps maturity, source control, automated testing, and release management.
- Drive Salesforce org health, technical hygiene, governor-limit management, large-data-volume strategies, asynchronous patterns, and platform performance optimisation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development or engineering, including 5+ years focused on Salesforce architecture and solution design.
- Proven experience designing complex integrations involving REST, SOAP, middleware or iPaaS, and Platform Events.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, security models, and multi-cloud or multi-org strategies.
- Experience with Salesforce DX and CI/CD tooling such as Copado, Gearset, or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to create and present architectural documentation and technical diagrams to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect certification or active pursuit is highly desirable.
- Application Architect, System Architect, or Platform Developer II certifications are desirable.
- Knowledge of MuleSoft, Data Cloud, Einstein AI/GPT, OmniStudio, Industries Clouds, large-data-volume strategies, Shield Platform Encryption, and Event Monitoring is desirable.
- Experience in government, enterprise, or regulated environments and exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP are desirable.
