Responsibilities
- Design and specify new ground systems for human spaceflight missions and future LEO space stations.
- Plan and evaluate software and data architectures and data flows in the ground segment.
- Perform requirements engineering and define system integration logic.
- Execute functional verification and validation activities and support error investigations.
- Select required software components and tools.
- Define interfaces and interact with customers.
- Deliver ground software and provide tool support.
Requirements
- Completed bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience in software projects.
- Solid experience in software architecture, system architecture, requirements engineering, and interface specification.
- Experience with functional verification and verification and validation processes.
- Proficiency in written and spoken German and English.
- Knowledge of Linux, UML, MBSE with CAMEO, space-project communication protocols, and ground-system software or related technologies.
- Programming skills in C, Java, Python, and Shell.
- Ability to work in a team with strong communication skills.
