  • Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of GPU HALs and integration of display HAL layers.
  • Develop, integrate, and optimize graphics middleware including OpenGL ES and vector graphics implementations, and integrate UI frameworks such as LVGL.
  • Improve rendering performance, memory usage, and power efficiency across CPU, GPU, memory, and display paths.
  • Develop and maintain example applications, benchmarks, and test cases for graphics features.
  • Perform GPU-focused pre-silicon verification on FPGA platforms and post-silicon bring-up, system validation, and debugging.
  • Support design verification, system test, field engineering, and key customers as needed.

Requirements

  • MS in ECE or Computer Science with 6+ years of experience, or BS in ECE or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience.
  • Strong expertise in at least one embedded GPU IP and hands-on experience developing GPU HALs and graphics software stacks.
  • In-depth experience with OpenGL ES or other 3D graphics APIs and a solid understanding of the full graphics pipeline.
  • Experience with graphics UI frameworks such as LVGL; vector graphics acceleration or libraries such as OpenVG is preferred.
  • Experience with embedded display interfaces such as MIPI DSI, DBI, DPI, or Memory-In-Pixel.
  • In-depth ARM architecture knowledge, preferably including M-profile Cortex-M cores.
  • Strong understanding of embedded RTOS concepts; Zephyr and FreeRTOS experience is preferred.
  • Experience developing embedded MCU code in C and assembly on Arm Cortex-M processors, using an MCU IDE such as ARM, Keil, IAR, Eclipse, O-zone, or another IDE.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for debugging.
  • Experience using Cursor or OpenAI Codex for test development or debugging is a plus.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, collaboration tools, and source-control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of software testing and test automation principles, scripting experience, and preferably Python experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills for complex hardware/software system debugging.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Benefits

  • On-site five days per week in Northwest Austin.
  • Opportunity to work on low-power semiconductor and embedded graphics technology across FPGA emulation and production silicon.
