
Senior Software Engineer

- Define and establish technical standards based on architectural guidelines.
- Build scalable and maintainable software systems.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies selected by technical leads.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Participate in hiring processes and technical interviews.
- Collaborate with leadership on technical roadmaps and strategic planning.
- Establish code quality standards and manage technical debt.
- Create technical documentation and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Participate actively in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating expert-level programming competency and technical leadership.
- Typically 5+ years of professional software development experience with progression into technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading complex technical projects and contributing to technical decisions and best practices.
- Experience with large-scale system design, distributed systems, cloud-native patterns, and production system management.
- Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages and deep ecosystem knowledge.
- Advanced experience with CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with application tuning, database optimization, caching, and system scaling.
- Deep understanding of secure development practices and quality assurance methodologies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and experience driving technology adoption and organizational change.
- Demonstrated technical vision, mentoring ability, communication skills, strategic thinking, and advanced problem-solving capabilities.
- May be required to undergo fingerprint background checks for CJIS clearance.
