ML/AI Senior Compiler Engineer

- Design and implement AI/ML compiler technologies using C++ and LLVM for high-performance inference on embedded hardware.
- Develop compiler features for ARM- and RISC-V-based CPU cores and NXP-specific compiler frameworks.
- Collaborate with architecture teams, ML researchers, hardware architects, and internal compiler-tool users.
- Optimize model lowering, graph compilation, fusion, tiling, scheduling, and end-to-end code generation performance.
- Analyze compiler-generated code with simulators, profilers, and analysis tools to improve code quality.
- Contribute to compiler development and deployment with a global team and participate in open-source development.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level university degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with significant exposure to Machine Learning, Edge AI, and Embedded Systems.
- 10+ years of professional experience in compiler technologies, including LLVM/MLIR, LLVM IR, Clang, pass frameworks, optimization pipelines, code generation, and linkers.
- Production-quality Python and C++ programming skills.
- Experience with ML frameworks and software stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, MLIR, XLA, TVM, and TensorRT.
- Experience optimizing graph compiler passes and lowering PyTorch or TensorFlow models into efficient intermediate representations.
- Embedded systems programming experience and knowledge of compiler requirements for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, including caches, pipelines, and instruction set architectures.
- Ability to analyze complex compiler codebases, develop accurate solutions, communicate effectively with distributed teams, and contribute to open-source projects.
