Responsibilities
- Review business and functional requirements and formulate technical specifications for InsuranceNow features.
- Analyze requirements and determine whether to use out-of-the-box InsuranceNow capabilities or custom solutions.
- Estimate configuration and integration development effort.
- Design, develop, and unit test InsuranceNow configurations and customizations using Java, XML web services, and ANSI SQL.
- Manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and align product development with business and customer needs.
- Oversee product feature design, implementation, integration, quality standards, and user acceptance testing.
- Track project budgets, risks, issues, milestones, delays, and stakeholder expectations, and report delivery status to leadership and customer governance groups.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams and facilitate communication among stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Monitor Property & Casualty insurance industry trends and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on product launch and promotion strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing software development projects; agile methodology experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on development experience with the Java J2EE platform.
- In-depth knowledge of InsuranceNow and its use in Property & Casualty insurance.
- Hands-on experience with XML web services, SOAP, RESTful services, Core Java, and ANSI SQL.
- Ability to gather and analyze requirements, understand business processes, and create process flow diagrams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, lead teams, manage conflicting priorities, and work effectively in a multitasking environment.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations, project deliverables, milestones, risks, issues, and escalation processes.
- PMP or CSM certification is preferred.
- Proven track record of successful product management.
