Base Salary
$176k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales on technical discovery, customer use-case qualification, and solution strategy.
- Design target architectures for agentic workflows and AI and web applications on Vercel.
- Create and deliver tailored demos, technical presentations, and workshops.
- Own proofs of concept and pilots end-to-end, including success criteria, implementation guidance, technical issue resolution, and outcome documentation.
- Lead post-sale architecture for strategic accounts, including onboarding, reference implementations, migration patterns, and best practices.
- Advise customers on performance, reliability, and cost optimization using Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, and observability data.
- Develop scalable field playbooks, reusable assets, and customer patterns with the Field Engineering team.
- Coordinate security, compliance, and architecture reviews with internal specialists.
- Feed customer themes, patterns, and gaps into Product and Engineering roadmaps.
- Contribute to enablement and external content such as reference architectures, example repositories, talks, and blog posts.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Platform Architect, or Agency Software Engineer.
- Strong hands-on JavaScript and TypeScript skills with modern web frameworks, ideally including Next.js.
- Knowledge of web performance, caching, networking, and security fundamentals, ideally including AI/LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows.
- Ability to discuss business outcomes with executives and implementation details with developers.
- Track record of owning complex technical projects, managing multiple stakeholders, and delivering on time.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and with integrating SaaS and edge platforms into enterprise architectures.
- Experience with AI-powered applications or agentic workloads using tools such as the AI SDK is preferred.
- Production experience deploying and operating Next.js or other modern frontend frameworks on Vercel or similar platforms is preferred.
- Experience with composable architectures, including headless CMS, commerce, search, analytics, and identity providers, is preferred.
- Cloud or architecture certifications and experience leading large-scale cloud-native migrations are preferred.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, PCI DSS, or HIPAA and participation in customer security reviews are preferred.
