Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop well-architected, responsive, and performant web applications.
- Develop highly reliable and available Starlink software systems.
- Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant networks that operate at scale with minimal maintenance.
- Deliver expert-level TypeScript and React code for modern browsers.
- Build full-stack applications in a .NET microservice architecture running on Kubernetes.
- Maintain continuous monitoring and alerting to improve system quality and observability and support data-driven decisions.
- Work with internal partners and engineering teams across Starlink on architecture, design, code reviews, and engineering processes.
- Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
- Own outcomes and contribute to team collaboration and customer experience improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline and at least 1 year of full-stack software experience, or at least 3 years of professional full-stack software experience in lieu of a degree.
- Internship experience is applicable toward the experience requirement.
- Programming experience in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Front-end experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies.
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts.
- Expertise in profiling and improving application performance.
- Experience with build systems such as Make, Bazel, Pants, Buck, or Gradle and package management tools such as pip or npm.
- Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and a CI/CD tool.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR work authorization requirements.
