Responsibilities
- Lead complex and diverse software engineering work, projects, and programs that positively impact multiple teams.
- Plan and deliver projects with significant impact across multiple teams and services.
- Set goals and priorities and adjust them as needed to achieve the best results.
- Build and operate distributed systems and develop features affecting millions of users daily.
- Partner with engineering and product management teams to deliver large-scale software features.
- Provide technical solutions and contribute to software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems.
- Strong software design and architecture skills.
- Experience with software engineering practices including unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lead complex projects within a large-scale organization.
- Preferred: prior experience as a technical lead or architect.
- Preferred: proactive external code contributions to public forums.
