Responsibilities
- Support production services and help keep them available and operating efficiently.
- Operate services across production, testing, and development environments, including monitoring, alerting, resilience, and on-call support.
- Design, implement, and manage cost-effective large-scale infrastructure involving cloud services, networking, and storage.
- Contribute to automation, incident management, deployment, release management, and product lifecycle processes.
- Deploy and integrate solutions into existing production environments with support from senior team members on complex work.
- Manipulate databases and contribute to software development where needed.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience operating services, ideally in demanding environments.
- Familiarity with SRE principles and practices, including automation, monitoring, and incident management.
- Hands-on exposure to several modern DevOps tools, including Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Python, YAML, and Shell.
- Exposure to DevOps build and testing processes, release management, and product lifecycle management.
- Some database manipulation experience using SQL.
- Software development experience, preferably in Go, Java, or Python.
- Ability to deploy and operate solutions and integrate them into existing production environments.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in a team- and results-oriented environment.
