Base Salary
$169k - $305k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own system design and implementation for next-generation compute and infrastructure services.
- Guide engineering teams while ensuring alignment with overall system architecture.
- Build proofs of concept, evaluate design choices, and recommend technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, product architects, engineering management, and business stakeholders to shape product direction and engineering roadmaps.
- Develop best practices, share knowledge, and mentor engineers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- 12 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Extensive experience building and operating highly available, fault-tolerant, large-scale distributed production services using virtualization and cloud-native technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of operating systems, Linux internals, virtualization technologies, hypervisors, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of containers and related technologies, including systemd, Docker, containerd, and Kubernetes.
- Significant experience with Linux, Go, Python, and Bash.
- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, with experience using one or more public cloud offerings.
