Base Salary
$225k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build the platform primitives including data access layer and endpoint framework.
- Encode conventions into the type system, CI, and runtime to enforce best practices.
- Enable non-engineer builders by creating documentation and guides for product managers.
- Partner with the engineering team on reviews and unblocking processes.
- Own governance rituals such as platform and architecture reviews.
- Handle production incidents on the platform and resolve underlying issues.
Requirements
- 8+ years of staff-level engineering experience in production systems.
- Deep fluency in TypeScript and Postgres.
- Instinct for safety-through-types in software development.
- Understanding of security principles and multi-tenant isolation.
- Empathy for non-engineer users and ability to design user-friendly APIs.
- Experience with modern AI coding tools and their implications.
- Awareness of healthcare workflows and sensitivity to data regulations.
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical concepts.
