Responsibilities
- Develop data analysis, predictive modeling, ad-hoc analysis, and production-level analytical solutions.
- Help develop and maintain machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and model training.
- Write production-level code and support automated testing, deployment, and reliable delivery of analytical applications.
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to cost-benefit analyses for proposed improvements.
- Conduct code reviews, produce technical documentation, and ensure compliance with internal best practices.
- Deliver proofs of concept and translate client and customer requirements into analytical or technical solutions.
- Maintain client relationships and collaborate with data scientists, product managers, colleagues, and management.
- Build knowledge across software development and analytics and apply relevant technical and analytical learning to project work.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of technical experience in software development.
- Ability to write production-level code in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python or C++.
- Understanding of large-dataset processing technologies, including Hadoop and Spark, plus graph and time-series databases.
- Exposure to natural language processing and tools for parsing or analyzing unstructured data.
- Comfort working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and virtual environment technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Backend development skills including experience with REST APIs, plus familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Understanding of domain products and services and ability to contribute to business and technical discussions.
- Advanced degree or equivalent in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or another relevant field.
- Fluent English.
