Base Salary
$126k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop virtualized packages and application sequencing processes for mission baseline applications used by VDI sessions and thick clients.
- Work with application testers and mission subject-matter experts to validate application behavior and incorporate sequencing changes.
- Identify user settings that must persist in non-persistent VDI environments and automate application sequencing opportunities.
- Support virtualization and VDI application delivery infrastructure configuration, backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations.
- Troubleshoot and tune VMware software-defined data center products and apply security patches and software updates.
- Create technical designs, test plans, test cases, implementation plans, operational guides, training guides, and architectural presentations.
- Resolve incidents, fulfill software requests, maintain technical documentation, and train team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of systems administration or virtualization experience; additional education, training, certifications, or work experience may substitute for the degree or experience.
- Top Secret/SCI clearance, ability to obtain Top Secret SCI with polygraph, and U.S. citizenship are required.
- 8140.01M IAT Level II certification is required.
- At least 3 years of experience with VDI technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
- At least 2 years of experience with Citrix XenApp or comparable application virtualization technologies such as Microsoft App-V, FlexApp, or App Volumes.
- Experience with Windows Desktop and Server operating systems, non-persistent desktop environments, profile management, Active Directory, Group Policy, application delivery load balancing, and scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell is preferred.
- Familiarity with VMware DEM, Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity, ITIL, TOGAF, ticketing systems, and virtualization certifications such as VMware Certified Associate for Data Center Virtualization is preferred.
