Base Salary
$260k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design high-throughput services that support concurrent conversations at scale.
- Own a core platform service from design through production.
- Build highly available systems that degrade gracefully during failures.
- Handle sensitive healthcare data appropriately.
- Improve performance, observability, and operational health across services.
- Shape architectural decisions as the platform grows.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating production backend systems at scale with ownership of outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of concurrency, distributed systems, and service design.
- Ability to develop simple, maintainable solutions to complex problems.
- Strong debugging skills across services, queues, and databases.
- Ability to work on site in New York City or San Francisco.
