Base Salary
$98k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and integrate ground support equipment software, simulators, and test tools.
- Develop C/C++ software, with Java supporting the Linux-based environment.
- Create software requirements specifications and design documentation and participate in peer reviews and configuration management.
- Support hardware/software interface development, simulator deployment, system integration, troubleshooting, and software delivery.
- Collaborate with embedded, GNC, systems, test, and other engineering teams in an integration-heavy environment.
- At Level 4, provide technical leadership, guide less-experienced engineers, support schedules and program/customer discussions, and drive work products through integration and delivery.
Requirements
- Level 3 requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience, a master's degree and 3 years, or a PhD and 1 year; an additional 4+ years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Level 4 requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 8 years of professional experience, a master's degree and 6 years, or a PhD and 4 years; an additional 4+ years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- An active DoD Secret clearance or higher is required at application, along with the ability to obtain additional program access.
- Professional experience developing object-oriented C or C++ software in a Linux environment is required.
- Professional experience with simulator, ground support equipment, test-tool, embedded-system, real-time, or mission-critical software development, integration, or testing is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Java, DevSecOps tools and practices, real-time or RTOS environments, simulation development, HWIL, computer-in-the-loop, integration labs, test stands, mission or flight-critical systems, Python, software integration, troubleshooting, deployment, and technical leadership.
