Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of complex software systems for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Define and implement robust software architectures aligned with business objectives.
- Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and enforce software engineering best practices.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and support continuous learning within the team.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, stakeholders, legal and risk experts, and technical partners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Innovate on secure, compliant, scalable, and resilient platforms for enterprise applications, data, AI, and search.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive hands-on software development experience with a record of leading complex projects and engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in distributed systems, cloud computing, backend architecture, and modern programming languages such as Java and Python.
- Ability to address scalability, performance, and system design challenges in large-scale environments.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence technical direction, and drive engineering excellence.
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS is preferred.
- Background in legal technology or other high-precision AI application development is preferred.
- Prior experience with early-stage AI startups is preferred.
