Responsibilities

  • Own the long-term technical roadmap and technical authority for dexterous manipulation and multi-fingered coordination.
  • Design and enforce scalable software architectures balancing autonomous control and high-fidelity teleoperation.
  • Integrate state-of-the-art learning-based policies and vision-integrated systems into robotic manipulation capabilities.
  • Lead high-fidelity simulation and sim-to-real policy transition strategies.
  • Influence next-generation robotic hand hardware specifications for sensing, degrees of freedom, and torque profiles.
  • Oversee the transition from research prototypes to reliable fleet-wide production deployment of C++ and Python software.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, mentoring, and promotion of engineering rigor.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience focused on robotic manipulation or complex motion control, or at least 3 years with a PhD.
  • Deep expertise in multi-fingered hand control, grasp planning, and in-hand manipulation with successful hardware deployment experience.
  • Proficiency in learning-based robotics control, Python, and real-time robotic software stacks.
  • Experience with physics simulation environments such as IsaacSim, MuJoCo, or Drake.
  • Proven ability to deploy complex algorithms from research or simulation environments onto physical hardware.
  • Preferred experience with robotic kinematics, teleoperation and retargeting, tactile or haptic sensing, computer vision, and high-DOF end-effector bring-up.
