Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and scale Apple’s SRE and DevOps ecosystem.
  • Establish GitOps-driven cloud-native CI/CD platforms, reliability practices, and engineering standards.
  • Operate and support highly scalable distributed applications and platform services, including load balancers, perimeter security, integrations, and API gateways.
  • Troubleshoot Java and JVM runtime configurations and analyze large datasets.
  • Build machine learning pipelines and anomaly detection models for operational intelligence.
  • Apply cryptographic, secure communications, vulnerability, and threat-analysis techniques to system design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and external supply chain partners.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, ideally Java or JEE.
  • Familiarity with Ansible and Terraform automation.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Bash, and Lua.
  • Proficiency in relational and non-relational database fundamentals, including hands-on PL/SQL experience.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills for Java and JVM technologies and runtime configurations.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, ScaleIO, and Amazon S3.
  • Experience with Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, and CloudWatch monitoring and logging tools.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, release engineering, and DevOps principles.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and patterns, cryptographic algorithms, regular expressions, TLS, mTLS, and secure communications protocols.
  • Ability to research vulnerabilities and threats and translate findings into detection and prevention systems.
