Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and provide technical support for BCG’s internal business applications.
- Maintain technical responsibility for application code quality, operational effectiveness, scalability, security, testing, and performance.
- Perform hands-on frontend and backend development using the stated web application technologies.
- Provide technical guidance, oversight, and code reviews for internal and external developers.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, product teams, business stakeholders, and IT leadership to deliver applications aligned with business needs.
- Troubleshoot production tickets and provide timely analysis and resolution.
- Set up and maintain integrations with SaaS and cloud-based applications.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools and practices, including code generation, review, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- College degree and 4–6 years of experience developing business applications in a commercial IT setting or consulting.
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Webpack 5 with Module Federation.
- Significant experience with Node.js, Express, Apollo Server, and GraphQL web applications or services.
- Strong experience with Git and experience with Azure or AWS.
- Experience with Docker containerization technologies and supporting external application development providers.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude is required.
- Ability to deliver secure, well-tested, high-performing code with comprehensive automated test coverage and zero known security vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of Agile environments, Dev-Sec-Ops practices, IAM security, SaaS/cloud integrations, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms is preferred.
- Ability to design and develop MERN-stack applications and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
