Responsibilities

  • Own an internship project while collaborating with team members through regular questions and progress updates.
  • Create and improve test automation tools that enhance product quality and user trust.
  • Refactor code, participate in code reviews, and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with unit, integration, and load tests to support software reliability.
  • Participate in continuous integration and deployment.
  • Contribute to improving the quality of Lyft Urban Solutions for riders.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science at a university in Canada, with graduation between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
  • Master’s students with prior work between bachelor’s and master’s programs must have less than two years of relevant full-time experience.
  • Available for the Summer 2027 internship in Montreal.
  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for quality and testing, community, sustainability, and/or transportation.
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment.
  • Contributions to open source projects.
  • Experience with databases, real-time technology problems, and mobile development.
  • Experience with integration testing and test automation is preferred.
  • Experience with or a strong desire to learn and use cutting-edge AI tooling is preferred.
