Responsibilities
- Develop and improve data-center network monitoring services.
- Optimize network data collection, processing, and visualization tools.
- Create network alert systems using trained learning algorithms for real-time anomaly detection and fault localization.
- Collaborate with network engineers to develop automated network fault-diagnosis systems and troubleshooting analysis services.
- Develop a network data platform using network metadata and real-time network metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required; master's or Ph.D. with networking research experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or Python, with the ability to read and understand other languages.
- At least two years of hands-on experience with network monitoring and alarm systems.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols and the TCP/IP stack.
- Practical or research experience with network monitoring and alert systems and a strong foundation in big-data processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with switch monitoring technologies such as Telemetry, SNMP, Syslog, sFlow, Erspan, and INT is preferred.
