Responsibilities
- Build and operate self-service platform features for generating large-scale synthetic datasets.
- Integrate image, video, and language generation models and tune their execution on GPU infrastructure.
- Debug distributed systems and data pipelines in production using logs, metrics, and task state.
- Design input validation and configuration contracts to prevent costly late failures.
- Measure and close gaps between synthetic and real data, including visual statistics, metadata, labels, and distributions.
- Own features end to end, from defining requests with partner teams through production validation.
- Help ML engineers, data scientists, designers, artists, and other internal users understand and use generative data systems.
- Explain machine learning concepts and tradeoffs to nontechnical partners.
- Use agentic AI coding tools while evaluating their effectiveness and verifying their output.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building and operating production software in Python.
- Experience debugging distributed systems or data pipelines in production with logs, metrics, and task state.
- Experience deploying machine learning models on GPU infrastructure, including dependency management and GPU memory sizing.
- Experience designing input validation and configuration contracts.
- Ability to explain machine learning concepts and tradeoffs to nontechnical partners.
- Hands-on experience using agentic AI coding tools in daily software development, including human verification of generated output.
- Preferred: experience defining and shipping features with partner teams or internal customers.
- Preferred: experience measuring domain gaps between synthetic and real data.
- Preferred: experience with generative image, video, or large language model APIs and structured output.
- Preferred: familiarity with image and video file formats and metadata standards.
- Preferred: experience with batch compute platforms or job schedulers.
