Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy redundant, resilient, scalable, self-sustaining, and self-healing AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, including clusters, namespaces, and deployments.
- Develop infrastructure as code, automation, CI/CD workflows, and operational procedures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and production issues.
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate features and enhancements.
- Implement and maintain compliance and security practices in operational infrastructure.
- Train and mentor junior DevOps engineers and new team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
- At least 4 years of experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, or Rancher.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible and container technologies such as Docker or Docker Compose.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or JavaScript.
- Strong hands-on AWS solution architecture experience and experience designing and managing CI/CD workflows.
- Extensive production experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters and creating Docker images and registries.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and secure cloud-native infrastructure.
- Effective English communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a project team.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification is preferred.
