Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python.
- Own features end-to-end, from design through implementation and production support.
- Build and evolve RESTful APIs for various integrations.
- Implement data processing pipelines for unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Contribute to GenAI workflows like retrieval and summarization.
- Break down ambiguous requirements into deliverable solutions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability concerns.
- Write well-tested, production-quality code.
- Participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer.
- Maintain backend services in production and debug production issues.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building backend systems in Python.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with distributed or service-oriented systems.
- Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with code reviews and continuous integration.
- Ability to independently own features and deliver them to production.
- Experience with unstructured data at scale.
- Exposure to GenAI or LLM-based systems.
