Responsibilities
- Own firmware development projects and deliver defined scope within agreed timelines and quality KPIs.
- Act as the primary business contact and manage stakeholders, project planning, and execution.
- Gather, specify, manage, and trace software requirements and changes.
- Create and document high-level and low-level software designs and architectures.
- Architect, design, and develop embedded software according to defined requirements.
- Develop hardware abstraction layers for SPI, ADC, PWM, memory, watchdogs, and controller initialization.
- Perform software integration testing and unit testing.
- Apply static analysis, software development lifecycle practices, and relevant safety and cybersecurity practices.
Requirements
- B.E., B.Tech., M.Tech., or Master's degree in Electronics or Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of extensive experience in embedded systems software design, development, and testing.
- Knowledge of Embedded C, Python, MATLAB, MATLAB Simulink, electronics, board-level debugging, RTOS, and microcontrollers.
- Experience with RISC, CISC, PIC, STM, or NXP microcontrollers or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, CANopen, serial communications, and I/O-Link.
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, secure boot, memory partitioning, linker files, MISRA 2000/MISRA 2012, and embedded software design.
- Experience with tools such as LDRA, VectorCAST, Polyspace, Polarion, SVN, Git, or ClearCase.
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Preferred: UML-based software architecture and design, PLC programming, functional safety lifecycle management, IEC 62443, and DFFSS Green Belt.
