Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate CDN infrastructure using AWS CloudFront, Global Accelerator, bot management, and related services.
- Build systems that detect and mitigate malicious automated traffic using commercial and internally developed controls.
- Develop reusable Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules for safe and consistent edge-service deployment.
- Integrate fraud detection pipelines into real-time edge blocking and scoring decisions.
- Enforce zero-trust controls, request validation, origin shielding, and edge-security protections with security and platform teams.
- Integrate CDN and bot-management coverage into developer-platform software and automation products.
- Define edge observability using metrics, traces, and logs to detect anomalies and improve performance.
- Evaluate edge compute, rate-limiting, and multi-CDN failover technologies.
- Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis for outages and abuse-related escalations.
Requirements
- Expert experience with AWS edge and networking services including CloudFront, WAF, Route53, Shield, and Global Accelerator.
- Expert production proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code patterns.
- Deep experience implementing or operating enterprise bot-management platforms such as HUMAN, AWS Bot Control, Cloudflare Bot Management, or Akamai Bot Manager.
- Advanced knowledge of HTTP, CDN caching, edge-compute functions such as Lambda@Edge, and TLS management.
- Strong software development experience in Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
- Experience building safe, observable, and performant infrastructure at scale.
- Experience with real-time edge request evaluation, HTTP/2, QUIC, device fingerprinting, rate limiting, CAPTCHA orchestration, traffic segmentation, geo-steering, or multi-CDN architecture is preferred.
- Experience with high-scale edge analytics, Layer 7 defense-in-depth, distributed rate limiting, request scoring, secure system design, and zero-trust architectures is preferred.
- Experience with fraud-prevention systems or fraud-intelligence platforms and contributions to edge, networking, or observability open-source projects are preferred.
