Base Salary
$144k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write production-quality Python training jobs and inference APIs and deploy them to scalable services.
- Enhance and maintain the cloud-hosted machine learning platform using AWS SageMaker, GitHub Actions, and Docker.
- Partner with data scientists and engineering teams on scalable and robust systems design.
- Develop internal tools and libraries to standardize and accelerate AI and ML development.
- Build multimodal AI capabilities and agentic AI systems for production workflows.
- Own and maintain portions of the Data Science team’s engineering infrastructure.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience writing and debugging Python code.
- Familiarity with Git, unit testing, object-oriented design, containerization, and standard software engineering practices.
- Understanding of machine learning training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring lifecycles.
- Familiarity with scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, NumPy, and pandas.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting AI and ML models in AWS or another public cloud.
- Exposure to production regression, classification, image, language-model, and agentic AI systems.
- Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.
- Ability to reason about component interactions across the ML lifecycle and optimize individual platform components.
